A Message to the Galatians

Christ lives inside of you.  So put off the old.  Put on the new.  Live by faith.

We are all equal in Christ.  That means everyone.  Do not judge others. Do not compare yourself to others

Be humble - no son/daughter of Christ is more valuable than any other.  You can’t know what your sister/brother is going through. Truly love one another.  That means everyone.  Carry each others burdens.

Walk by the spirit. Do not indulge the flesh. You always have that choice.  You can resort back to the old worldly you, going with the flow, doing whatever short term seems smart, or feels good,  but in reality it always leads to ruin and destruction, at which point your life is a tangled mess again and you no longer feel so good.  Resist the devil and he will flee.  No temptation is allowed you that God doesn’t provide the strength to resist if you ask Him for it.  If you do succumb to temptation, seek forgiveness, God’s Grace is sufficient.  But each time you successfully do resist, you become stronger and stronger in your faith, and your closeness to God becomes more and more dear to you.

Live by faith by following the guidance of Christ’s spirit that lives inside of you.  Daily prayer, reading the Bible regularly, and attending a Bible centered church helps immensely in your efforts to live by faith.  We were not meant to travel this journey alone.  God designed us to need one another.  You are just a nose, or a tooth, or a wart, etc.  etc.  You need the whole body - which is the Church.

If Christ’s spirit does not live inside of you, it is a simple matter of admitting to yourself and God - it’s nobody else’s business - that your attempt to live life your own way has not worked out as you wished.  Trying harder to do it your way will only make matters worse.  You need God. Not self-help coaches, do-it-yourself life guides, do-it-smarter motivational speakers, or mystical gurus with signs and wonders.  None of these can heal your wounded soul or satisfy your hunger for truth.  Only God.  He comes to you through his son, Jesus who he sent into the world to redeem mankind. That’s YOU.  All the work has already been done. You can add nothing.  Jesus Christ, obeying his Father, accomplished everything at the cross.  You just need to appeal to God.  Admit to him what a total mess of things your life is.  You trusted in the world and the world has let you down.  It always does.  Tell Jesus you trust your life now to Him.  None of this copilot nonsense.  Make Jesus your be-all/end-all.  Say to Him, “my life is totally yours. Do with it what you will.  I trust you, Jesus.”  If you sincerely open your heart and let Jesus enter you will start to experience the peace and love of God, and as you continue to trust in Him, He will make all things new.
