Acknowledgements

       You find family throughout this journal, both in the text and the photos.  My parents, grandparents, and siblings are a part of the fabric of my being.  Their influence has not broken through gravity and escaped off into space.  It is very much still grounding me as the foundation of who I am.  Truly, “The child is the father of the man.”*

      My children, grandchildren, and great grandchild are daily teaching me what blessing means, and my love for my wife has only grown stronger with each passing year.  I can’t imagine life without her.
